Lamborghini Gallardo 5-95 Zagato at CnC

It’s a given that if you show up to the monthly Scottsdale Cars and Coffee, you’re going to see some good stuff and probably a lot of it. Even on the rare days when the event is greeted by a rainy morning, there are people out there. I also generally expect something unexpected. Might be a supercar, a wild custom, an ultra-rare vintage Italian or just something I’ve never even heard of. Still, when it came to seeing the 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo 5-95 Zagato, just one of two built so far, at this weekend’s gathering, I was surprised. I was running a little late and just managed to get some shots fired off before it scurried away, but it would be an understatement to say it caught my...

Noble M12 GTO-3R Sep04

Noble M12 GTO-3R

Typically speaking, I’m pretty familiar with whatever I’m shooting on any given day. I may not know all the exact technical figures and specifics, but I have ballpark numbers in my head and have a pretty good idea what the car is all about. That really wasn’t the case with this Noble M12 GTO-3R. I was well aware of Noble and had seen a handful of them, including this particular car, out at various events over the years, but when it came to those exacts, I was pretty clueless. All I really knew was they were sure-footed and quick. Very quick. My first attempt to shoot this car was cancelled unexpectedly at the last minute. I’m always disappointed when a shoot doesn’t pan out, but...

… and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve only been out to the Glendale Cruise-In at Mixteca (held every Friday and Saturday night) twice now but both times I’ve seen more than a handful of unique cars and trucks unlike anything I’d seen before or since. This...

Late last week Scottsdale Ferrari hosted the FCA – Desert Region and various other guests to check out the first Ferrari 458 Speciale to land in the valley. Fortunately, I also got the invite. Unfortunately, I also got there very late after the sun set. On top of that, to make a long...

1963 Apollo 3500 GT

I’m going to be honest here, I can’t tell you anything about the Apollo 3500 GT that you can’t learn by simply checking it out its Wikipedia article or by Googling it. All I can really add is that this particular example is the only one I’ve ever seen and until its owners showed it to me, I wasn’t even aware of the car’s existence and, like all of their cars (eg. this Bubbletop Corvette and this ’33 Ford Coupe), it was restored by them and absolutely flawless. I had the pleasure of seeing out at a local event days after its completion, was invited to shoot it shortly after that and have seen it a number of times since. If I have things my way, it won’t be the...

Supercar Run 5 Apr22

Supercar Run 5

It looked like a ridiculous house party. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Aston Martins and others overflowing into the streets and lined up bumper-to-bumper on both sides of the road. I wasn’t sure if I had the right address, as I’d just looked it up on Google and Facebook, but when I arrived at Supercars Specialists and Scottsdale, it was immediately clear I was in the right place. Years and years ago, back when the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club was still a thing and the Scottsdale Cars and Coffee was just getting started, I used to go along on exotic car drives about once a month, always taking hundreds of photos along the way. But, as the SECC dissolved and the crowds increased, the number of...

2014 Copperstate 1000 Send-Off

I’ve said it here before time and time again, so I won’t prattle on repetitively too long. Bottom line: The Copperstate 1000 is one of the best vintage car events in the Valley. امريكا اكسبرس It’s one thing to see such an impressive range of vintage cars, including some of the best-of-the-best, at a car show and something else to see them actually being driven. And not just driven, but DRIVEN. For this reason, I always shoot in the field for a bit before camping out roadside to catch all of these amazing machines beginning their long journey. Personal favorites this year included the always impressive 1965 Lamborghini 3500 GT Zagato (my third or fourth time seeing it in...

A Quick Look Back: November 9th, 2013

With the plethora of automotive events that go on in the Phoenix Valley, it’s not unusual for me attend an event, fill up a memory card or two and then do nothing with the photos due to getting caught up with other events, shoots or something else. ivermectina limpa o sangue I especially tend to do this when multiple events fall on the same day, like the Paradise Valley Veterans Appreciation Vintage Car Show and Deafening Horsepower Charity Car Show did back in early November. So every now and then, I realize I have these photos piled up in the corners of my hard drives and start digging through them. preo da ivermectina na drogaria pacheco Paradise Valley Veterans Appreciation Vintage Car Show...

1973 Ford Mustang Co...

1973 was the end of an era for Ford Motor Company. Ever since their humble beginnings in 1903, there was always a Ford that was available as a convertible – or at least with a soft top. That run ended on July 15, 1973, when an all white Mercury Cougar XR-7 drove off the assembly line as...

Windgate Ranch Festival of Speed 2014

A yellow Ferrari Enzo just behind a yellow Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ (400 and 112 produced, respectively). A Jaguar C-Type right next to one of its younger siblings, the XKSS (one of just 53 produced and one of just 16 produced, respectively). خوارزمية الروليت A brand-new SRT Viper TA and a real-deal 427 Shelby Cobra. What’s not to love? With cars like that being the norm (while actually being driven to and from the event), it’s easy to see why the annual Windgate Ranch Festival of Speed is one of a handful of Phoenix Valley shows not to be missed. Other highlights for me included a super-rare Devin painted in a brilliant gold (look for a possible photo shoot of this car on...
