1953 Chevrolet Corvette ‘Noland Adams’ The 1953 Corvette was designed by the very talented Harley Earl, Chevrolet’s chief designer. GM listened to the demands of the GI’s that returned from Europe wanting an American sports car. Production was limited to only 300 units the first year so selling the entire production of the entirely new model was not a problem. The first Corvette reached the end of the assembly line on June 30, 1953. The first 53’ Corvettes were all built by hand, in the back of a customer delivery garage in Flint Michigan. Chevrolet made it clear the new Corvette would only be available to high profile executives and people of power and influence. An example is John Wayne...

1954 Jaguar XK120 SE Roadster

The XK-120 was launched in roadster form at the 1948 London Motor Show as a test bed and show car for the new Jaguar XK engine. It caused a sensation, which persuaded Jaguar founder and design boss William Lyons to put it into production. The “120” in its name refers to its 120 mph to speed (faster with the windscreen removed), which made the XK-120 the world’s fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. The XK-120 has an extensive racing history including the high-speed runs at Jabeke in Belgium in 1949 and Ian Appleyard’s rally success with factory roadster NUB 120 in the early 1950’s. ivermectin coyote doseage There was also an all XK-120 race in England in 1951 and XK-120’s...

For a number of years now, I’ve been fortunate enough to be Russo and Steele’s official photographer for their annual Scottsdale auction. Even before I was, it was always one of my favorite auctions in the valley. It’s always had a very unique auction block with a consistently interesting mix of automobiles driving across it, leading to very exciting nights with some very special metal finding new homes. This year was no exception and, once again, my position allowed me to have access to all of the action. Check out some of the top sellers below, along with some of my favorite photos of the event. 1968 Chevrolet L-88 Corvette Roadster – Sold: $687,500.00 – WORLD...
Russo and Steele Scottsdale 12 Pre-Auction Preview

With Russo and Steele’s annual Scottsdale auction right around the corner, I took a bit of time to take a walk around, taking a few quick snapshots along the way. Setup was still under way and many of the cars hadn’t arrived at the auction site yet, but there was still plenty to look at. لعب الانترنت Nothing too out of the ordinary in this year’s auction from what I’ve seen so far, but it’s still looking like a very solid lineup of cars, as usual. In addition the the countless muscle cars and American classics that everyone has come to expect in the Scottsdale auctions, there’s a very healthy sprinkling of modern and classic European cars, high-end customs...
