For the first time in five years, I was finally able to attend RM’s annual Scottsdale auction. It is an auction that is, without question, one of the very best in the entire world and for me it was even more special as quite a number of cars I’d shot in the past year were going across the auction block. The crown jewel of the auction was this 1958 Ferrari 250 GT California LWB Spyder, which sold for a record-setting $8,800,000 and one of the many cars I had the pleasure of shooting prior to the auction (that gigantic print in the background came from said shoot). Not only was the California Spider the top sale for RM, but it was the top sale for all of the 2014 Scottsdale auctions. A bit further...
