2014 Copperstate 1000 Send-Off

I’ve said it here before time and time again, so I won’t prattle on repetitively too long. Bottom line: The Copperstate 1000 is one of the best vintage car events in the Valley. It’s one thing to see such an impressive range of vintage cars, including some of the best-of-the-best, at a car show and something else to see them actually being driven. And not just driven, but DRIVEN.

For this reason, I always shoot in the field for a bit before camping out roadside to catch all of these amazing machines beginning their long journey. Personal favorites this year included the always impressive 1965 Lamborghini 3500 GT Zagato (my third or fourth time seeing it in person), 1948 Alfa Romeo Nardi Danese Convertible, 1952 Cunningham C-3 Coupe, 1967 Maserati OSCA MT4-1500 and 1953 Ferrari 212 Vignale Coupe.

Please be sure to check out the full gallery for many, many more photos of all of these amazing machines.
