1965 Ford Superformance GT40 Jul04

1965 Ford Superformance GT40

Professionally built by Chris Hines and his team at ArrowLane LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona, this Superformance GT40 is a highly authentic successor to the original, Le Mans-conquering 1960s GT40s. Chris has worked on numerous original GT40s and accordingly, his attention to detail and safety in the construction of this car is nothing short of exemplary. The motor was sourced from FMS and is a purpose-built NOS Ron Shaver aluminum sprint car dry-sump short-block as was used to win the 1995 World of Outlaws championship for Casey Luna. It has been finished to a high but reliable specification for street use. The RBT 6 speed transaxle is what was used in the Saleen S7 for the duration of its production run. It...

2004 Enzo Ferrari Apr10

2004 Enzo Ferrari

At the Paris Auto Show in September 2002, the world waited for the successor to the Ferrari F50 with anxious anticipation. The introduction of a Ferrari supercar was something that happened approximately every 10 years, and the car that emerged from under that red car cover would certainly set the bar for performance cars for years to come. The company was in excellent shape, as it was just two Formula One Grands Prix away from securing another World Championship, and they were selling more cars than they ever had before. The car they were about to introduce would prove to be the “icing on the cake” of a wonderful year. Instead of continuing with tradition and naming this car F60, Chairman Luca di...

1955 Ford “Beatnik Bubbletop” Custom

Bubbletops are a fascinating part of the custom-car world. Pioneered by such restyling maestros as Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and Darryl Starbird, Bubbletop cars wonderfully combine fascination of 1950s Americana with jet age fighter aircraft, rocketry, space travel and above all, the promise of the future, both real and imagined. The builder of this amazing car, Gary “Chopit” Fioto, admits that as a kid growing up on Long Island, New York he was fascinated with bubbletops, particularly those of Darryl Starbird. Fioto’s nickname, “Chopit,” craftily describes his central customizing philosophy. After he impressed custom-car traditionalists with his new interpretation on an old theme, a chopped ’50...

Cars and Coffee, March 2016

For the first time in nearly a year and a half, I finally made it to the Scottsdale Cars and Coffee. It’s an event I was at at the very beginning and never missed for over three years. برنامج مراهنات But as life got busy and nights got late, it became increasingly difficult to force myself out of bed before sunrise and make the 30 minute drive to Scottsdale. But, I finally made that trip again and I’m very glad I did. Not only did I see a lot of familiar faces, but also a lot of wonderful cars. العب كازينو When I first started going almost nine years ago, it was a small group of about 20 cars and virtually no “spectators”. I was just a handful of people taking...

The 1836 Shoot

I’m not especially active on Instagram and I don’t follow a whole lot of people, however, I do follow quite a few local people who post primarily automotive photos. Not just because I like to see what kind of work other people are doing, which I do, but because it’s a great way to keep an eye on what’s going on in the Phoenix Valley. That was exactly what happened with this shoot. I heard rumblings of something pretty special coming to town for auction week 2015 and with a little hunting and hashtag clicking I came to the realization that the famous @itswhitenoise Porsche 918 Spyder was very soon going to be in the Valley. ايفون العرب Not only that, but for several weeks...

You wouldn’t be alone. My experience with the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG was short. Much shorter than I would’ve liked, unfortunately. But it was also a unique experience. This particular CLK DTM AMG was trailing behind me in my 1967 AMC Rambler American on our way to the shoot. Suddenly, the Rambler sputtered and rolled into the left...

Lamborghini Gallardo 5-95 Zagato at CnC

It’s a given that if you show up to the monthly Scottsdale Cars and Coffee, you’re going to see some good stuff and probably a lot of it. Even on the rare days when the event is greeted by a rainy morning, there are people out there. I also generally expect something unexpected. Might be a supercar, a wild custom, an ultra-rare vintage Italian or just something I’ve never even heard of. Still, when it came to seeing the 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo 5-95 Zagato, just one of two built so far, at this weekend’s gathering, I was surprised. I was running a little late and just managed to get some shots fired off before it scurried away, but it would be an understatement to say it caught my...

Noble M12 GTO-3R

Typically speaking, I’m pretty familiar with whatever I’m shooting on any given day. I may not know all the exact technical figures and specifics, but I have ballpark numbers in my head and have a pretty good idea what the car is all about. That really wasn’t the case with this Noble M12 GTO-3R. I was well aware of Noble and had seen a handful of them, including this particular car, out at various events over the years, but when it came to those exacts, I was pretty clueless. All I really knew was they were sure-footed and quick. Very quick. My first attempt to shoot this car was cancelled unexpectedly at the last minute. I’m always disappointed when a shoot doesn’t pan out, but...
