Inaugural Concours in the Hills

Inaugural Arizona Collector Car Concours Scheduled for Feb. 15, 2014 in Fountain Hills Park

Fountain Hills, Ariz. – Arizona is arguably the greatest car lover’s state in the United States. Local and informal car shows are held almost every weekend throughout the state, in shopping malls, public parks and car dealer parking lots.

The organizers have created an Arizona statewide Concours d’Elegance in suburban Phoenix where antique, historic and high performance automobiles will come together to be viewed and judged in an ideal and dramatic setting on the beautiful green grass of 64-acre Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona, with its famous 562-foot fountain, one of the world’s highest, serving as a dramatic backdrop.

Concours in the Hills will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m Car entrants are encouraged to meet at The Shops at Gainey Village in Scottsdale, leaving at 9 a.m. to drive in convoy style to Fountain Hills.  Alternatively they can drive to the concours site on their own.

Cars will be judged in the categories of Best Import, Best Domestic and Best of Show. Judging will be conducted by the entrants and spectators will judge “People’s Choice.”

The Concours is supported by the leading car clubs of Arizona representing Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Jaguar, Ford GT, Viper, Corvette, Lotus, De Tomaso, DeLorean, and others. Hundreds of ultra-high performance, exotic and rare collector vehicles are scheduled to be on display. Pre-registration of vehicles is available at a minimum donation of $50 in advance or $60 at the gate. Spectator admission is free. All proceeds benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

There will be a Pit Lane display of vendors with automotive products for sale and a Silent Auction of automotive items.

The organizers currently have sponsors committed but are still seeking a title sponsor.
