SEMA Show 2011

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to make it out to the SEMA show in Las Vegas since 2008.  FORTUNATELY, this year I was lucky enough to have a good friend and fellow photographer, Vince Estep, share his photos with Desert-Motors.com.  He was there with Daystar, an Arizona-based aftermarket company focused primarily on off road vehicles and while the heavily modified Jeep in their booth was certainly impressive, this bright yellow and black Challenger surely drew a lot of attention.  Built by by Chrysler’s underground vehicle division, it’s powered by an all aluminum 426 Hemi V8 (supposedly one of only seven in existence) mated to a Viper six-speed transmission and is covered by a custom carbon fiber hood pinned down with Daystar hood pins.  A Dana 60 rear axle with an ARB air locker (an axle normally found on Dodge trucks) and rear seat delete just seal the deal.
