To many people, the term \u201cmuscle car\u201d and the Dodge Charger are synonymous and in particular, the late \u201860s models. At its Chicago unveiling, the \u201868 Charger was labeled as having \u201cjet-age aerodynamic styling\u201d by then Dodge GM Robert B. McCurry and was a dramatic styling departure from the proceeding model years which had seen dismal sales. \u0645\u0633\u0627\u0628\u0642\u0627\u062a \u0648\u062c\u0648\u0627\u0626\u0632 \u0645\u0627\u0644\u064a\u0629 \u062d\u0642\u064a\u0642\u064a\u0629 2022<\/a> With its Coke-bottle profile, flying buttress c-pillars and rectangular front grill, it walks a fine line of being simultaneously elegant and aggressive.<\/p>\n

This particular \u201968 Charger began life as a 318 car and was painstakingly converted to this stunning 440 Magnum following a complete rotisserie restoration. \u062e\u062f\u0645\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0645\u0644\u0627\u0621 \u0643\u0648\u0646\u0643\u0631<\/a> \u00a0 During the restoration the owner performed a number of both mechanical and cosmetic customizations, including bodywork lowered over smoothed and tubbed rear wheel wells to make room for its massive 20×15\u201d Budnik Spark wheels and 29×15\u201d Mickey Thompson R\/S radials giving it a substantially more imposing stance.<\/p>\n

While the power and performance are almost always important and a big part of what makes a muscle car a muscle car, these cars are primitive, heavy, soft and aren\u2019t going to keep up with modern sports cars without an enormous amount of reworking.\u00a0 That\u2019s part of the reason that to me, muscle cars are all about presence.\u00a0 And this is where the Charger really excels.\u00a0 With its clean visual changes, this R\/T has presence in spades and it\u2019s clear why the Charger quickly became an icon of American muscle. \u0643\u0645 \u0628\u0637\u0648\u0644\u0627\u062a \u0645\u0627\u0646\u0634\u0633\u062a\u0631 \u0633\u064a\u062a\u064a<\/a> <\/p>\n
